Dr. Rajani’s new video features a fun quick clip of Dr. Rajani performing PRP under eye injections using the microcannula technique.
PRP stands for platelet rich plasma, which is found naturally in the body and extracted through a simple blood-draw. Once the blood is drawn, PRP is separated and can be used in many different ways. PRP contains healing properties and potent growth factors which stimulate collagen synthesis and bathe the cells in nutrients.
PRP can be used topically with microneedling, or be injected directly under the skin–which is exactly what Dr. Rajani specializes in. This is a great therapy for under eye rejuvenation. The new collagen tightens the skin, rids the skin of fine lines and wrinkles, and thickens the dermis, creating a youthful, bright-eyed appearance.
Dr. Rajani uses the microcannula technique because it is a safer, more comfortable technique to his patients. Microcannulas only use one injection point as opposed to the traditional needles, and are blunt-tipped and unable to slice and damage veins. Dr. Rajani is able to simply slide the microcannula under the dermis with little to no discomfort to the patient as can be seen in this new video. The risk of bruising becomes much lower too because of the blunt-tipped microcannula.
In the next few weeks to many months, this patient’s under eye will be completely rejuvenated and get rid of the “tired” appearance. PRP under eye injection therapy can also be combined with classic HA fillers to achieve a total transformation of the under eye region.
